The Lakewood Water District
General Manager Randall Black reviews his agency's achievements and challenges.
Nothing could be simpler than supplying folks with water, right? Dig a hole in the ground, lay a little pipe, fire up the pump, and there you are. Right? Well…no.
In a presentation given April 14th, 2014 Lakewood Water District General Manager Randy Black introduced his audience to the sometimes daunting complexities behind what might at first seem a simple task.
Maintaining water quality, safeguarding against possible terrorism, coping with an infrastructure deteriorating at an ever-increasing pace--these are just a few of the challenges the Water District faces daily. And with admirable success, thanks to a dedicated corps of highly capable employees and administrators.
If you were unable to attend General Manager Black's presentation, you can still catch up on seventy-one years of Lakewood Water District history--along with a look into its future--thanks to the notes and slides he's sharing with us, available at the link below as a pdf.
